Nasri: Looks like Gallas was right all along. So the papers are reporting this morning that Nasri will refuse to shake Gallas’ hand at today’s North London Derby. Apparently the spat has occurred because Gallas wrote in his autobiography that Nasri was a little shit, a whining twat, who only looked after himself and disrupted the French national team (I’m reading between the lines, those are not the exact words). So in essence, judging Nasri on his words in the paper and not his actions (it will be interesting to see if Nasri actually has the stones to go through with his ‘threat) it looks like Mr Gallas was right all along. Instead of concentrating on ensuring his team beat their local rivals and move to the top of the table Nasri is making it all about him (again). Only once in the history of the Premier League has a player refused to shake an opponents hand before the game. I’m sure we all remember Wayne Bridge refusing to shake John Terry’s hand. On that occasion it was because Terry had shagged Bridge’s Wife and allegedly got her up the duff. Fair enough. I think Terry was lucky to get away with it so lightly. If I was Bridge I would have been inclined to nut the cocky little fucker. Gallas’ misdemeanour was to write that Nasri was a cocky little prick when he was younger. Jesus, which of us weren’t? So a North London derby that needed no spicing up now has a little added va-va-voom (to quote another odious N5 prick). What will be interesting will be; A. Will Nasri actually have the bollocks to follow it through? And B. What row will Gallas put Nasri in after? I’m going for row K. |
