I used to think that ITK skeptics like me were in the minority, but after the success of the January ITK article, it became clear that a growing number of people feel the same way. Therefore, I thought I'd take some time to reflect on the 2011 Summer Transfer Window. However, instead of just taking the piss like last time, we here at WeAreTottenham.net have taken a slightly more analytical approach. Throughout the months of May, June, July and August, our eagle-eyed members scoured all the major Spurs forums looking for that most blessed of things... the 'ITK': itk (or ITK) abbrev. 'In The Know'. n. A person claiming to have privileged access to otherwise undisclosed information, activities and on goings at a professional football club. Often displays delusions of grandeur, fantasies of power and status, narcissistic tendencies in believing they are the most important/more well informed than others, low self-esteem leading to desperate attempts to attain attention and a sense of belonging, mood swings and angry outbursts when challenged, hypersensitivity to criticism, obsessive compulsive tendencies i.e. inflexibility and refusal to back down when patently wrong.
We've compiled all of our findings in one easy to scroll through ITK Thread on our Main Forum. Feel free to take a look. I should point out that whilst we're pretty sure we haven't missed anything of any significance, we can't guarantee that it is all in there. However, we are confident that all of the claims made by the more prominent 'ITKs' are in there. Speaking of which, we have also dedicated individual threads to any of the 'ITK' who posted ten or more pieces of info during the summer. All of these threads and the main ITK Thread can be accessed by clicking on the blue links throughout this article. Why have we done this? Well, there are lots of Spurs fans out there – myself included – who disapprove of the way that some of these so-called 'ITKs' are protected by overzealous forum moderators, and are free to make claims without ever being held to account over their veracity. Also, on a personal note, I was particularly pissed off with the way in which some of the nonsense they posted this summer about Kaka, Robben, Rossi and various other 'marquee' signings that never happened (and were never likely to happen), raised the hopes of our fans so much so that people were actually angry when the window shut, even though we had signed three top quality, proven Premier League players and had actually had a pretty decent window. If they're going to post this stuff and subsequently lap up the adulation afforded to them on sites like COYS and Spurs Community, then they should be able to back up what they say, or at least be big enough to admit that they were wrong. In recent years, some of them have been able to spend whole transfer windows making inaccurate claims which, by the time the next window arrives, everyone has forgotten about. My hope is that if they know they're being held to account, they might think twice about saying something which could come back to bite them in the arse. In the interest of fairness, credit will be given where credit is due. Although an advisable default position is not to believe a word any of them says, objectivity will be employed to as much extent as possible. I will apologise in advance for the huge amount of inverted commas in this article, but I can't bring myself to write 'ITK' without them. I should also apologise for my assumption that the 'ITKs' are all male. Some may be female, but their anonymity and ammbiguous names makes it hard to distinguish their sex. For those of you who can't be bothered to trawl through the whole ITK Thread, let me put things in perspective when I tell you that were all of the posts which claimed that a player was joining us – not being looked at, not being bid for... joining us – were true, we would have Rio Ferdinand, Gary Cahill, Chris Samba and Serdar Tasci to choose from at the back, David Beckham, Lassana Diarra and Joe Cole in midfield, and our forward line would be chosen from a pretty impressive list of Fernando Llorente, Klass-Jan Huntelaar, David Milito, Pablo Osvaldo, Romelu Lukaku, Mirko Vucinic and Leandro Damiao. Of course, some of these were from one-off 'ITK' posters, but a surprising amount of them weren't. Anyway, let's have a look at some of the key sagas of the summer and see who was wrong and who was right...
Harry Redknapp to Chelsea Early on in the window, a rumour surfaced that Chelsea were attempting to lure Harry Redknapp to Stamford Bridge. I first heard the rumour whilst listening to The Spurs Show, when a guest called Robert Easom claimed that Joe Jordan had indicated to him that this was a goer. However, he also said that Dimitar Berbatov was coming back to Spurs (he is apparently dating Berbatov's cousin), so we'll ignore him in future. As for the 'ITKs', someone called 'Crawley' and someone called 'Spursette' both claimed it would happen (page 2 of the ITK Thread). 'Phantom of the Lane' ('POTL'), 'Mystery', 'Ackie' and 'Akqayid' all said that he wasn't going (page 3), and 'Ben' said that he had had an interview (also page 3).
Brad Friedel The first 'ITK' to mention Bradley was 'Roger Morgan' who said: “2 year deal. Sounds like it's happening”. In response to a question asking if we were really considering signing a 40-year-old goalkeeper, 'Archibald' replied: “not considering... are”. POTL then said: “Friedel close”. Then 'Storts' said: “Prepare for disappointment”... although I'm not sure what he meant by that. Egg on face for 'Opensaysme' who – just prior to Friedel signing – said: “Friedel is a non-story as far as I'm concerned. Never any real interest.” (all page 3).
Luka Modric Clearly the biggest transfer story of our window. There were several 'ITKs' who called this right, some of whom remained adamant throughout the window. 'Peanut', 'Archibald', 'Rebrab', 'Yidio', 'Ben', 'Ari Gold', 'Mystery', 'Ghostfarmo', 'Dragon1', 'Akqayid' and one-off posters 'GarethBale' and 'Ellev8' all said that he wouldn't be sold. 'Paxtonyido' (page1), 'Scout' (pages 7 and 8), 'Brownhead' (page 14), 'Ackie' and 'CorlukaModric' (both page 16) can all hang their heads in shame, as they claimed that Modric was off, or words to that effect.
Lassana Diarra This one probably annoyed me the most to be honest. I'm a massive fan of Diarra, and have been wanting us to sign him ever since our first failed attempt under Juande Ramos a few years ago. Watching Scott Parker's performances since he arrived has eased the disappointment no end, but when this one didn't come off even after all the assurances that it would, I was fuming. So let's name and shame the ones who called this one a done deal: Akqayid (pages 2, 12, 13 and 15) The Journalist (pages 11, 12,13, 14 and 15) POTL (pages 13, 14, 15 and 16) Roger Morgan (page 14 and 15) Mystery (page 15) Ghostfarmo (page 14 and 15) wpd659 (page 15 and 16) Jacob (page 12 was cryptic, revealed later) There's a lesson to be learnt here boys and girls; don't say the deal is done until it actually is done, it's only going to make people angry when the deal doesn't happen. I can only assume that they were so desperate to be the one to break the story, that they jumped the gun. I'm sorry, but I don't give a shit whether he came close to signing or if he 'moved the goalposts' at the last minute, if anyone said that the deal was done, they were lying. Nor do I care if they backtracked on this one towards the end of the window, the damage was already done. In fairness to Archibald, he was the one who kept telling everyone that it wasn't done, and at one point even said it was “50-50”.
Emmanuel Adebayor This one was a bit more mixed than Diarra. Let's start with the winners: CorlukaModric was the first to mention him, possibly commenting on a media report, he said: “The Adebayor interest is true” (page 5). Opensaysme – towards the end of June – said: “We've spoken to his people” (page 6). Tommo350z then said: “Interest in Adebayor is there, City don't want to sell to us, we won't pay anything near his current wage” (page 7). Archibald was one of the first to say we were going for him back in July and then said that talks were “ongoing” despite media reports that the deal was dead (page 9). The Adebayor rumours started to pick up pace from there on in. POTL eventually claimed that 'Blue' referred to Adebayor all along, but that all sounds a bit convenient to me.
Scott Parker We're never really going to be able to draw any conclusions of substance out of this one, as Redknapp had clearly been in the market for Parker for at least a year when he finally did sign. But let's take a look nonetheless. In mid-May, 'Alex Defoe' was the first to claim that a deal was done, when he posted: “Parker to us done apparently (…) don’t know but palacios being offered out”. I'm not sure if we can call this a truthful claim, as it would appear that the deal wasn't actually done until the end of August (as far as we know), but he did say that Palacios could make way, so who knows? Next up was 'Appy as Arry' who – just a couple of days later – wrote: “Parker almost certain to come in with Wilson going out.” 'Rebrab' then said it was “looking fairly certain” that we would sign him (all page 1). POTL and wpd659 also stated that his arrival was imminent, in August just prior to him actually signing. Others mentioned him on various occasions, but the aforementioned 'ITKs' were the only ones to say it with any conviction. Our busiest 'ITKs' Okay, so as I mentioned at the beginning of the article, we have created individual threads for all of the 'ITKs' who posted ten or more pieces of info. You can go to any of those threads at any time by clicking on their names whenever you see them in blue. But right now we'll just summarise how each of them fared during the transfer window. This guy had a busy window. On a positive note, he always said that Modric wouldn't be sold... but let's face it, that was a coin toss. On a negative note, he said that Diarra was done, even using the words: “I'm calling Diarra”. He also committed the unforgivable crime of putting out a 'there is something massive happening' post. Really Akqayid? How massive? Oh, not very massive... okay, go away now please.
It’s actually very hard to pick apart anything Archibald says (and believe me I’ve tried) as he’s not in the habit of saying ‘done deal’ or anything conclusive like that. He was right about Friedel, Ceballos and even Pedroza Witham’s collapsed move. He gained brownie points for being the one ‘ITK’ to say that the Diarra deal wasn’t done. He was – like most of them – adamant that Modric would stay. He mooted a loan for Adebayor in July (along with only one other person on that one). His one failing would be when he said of Giovani dos Santos: “No chance of getting a squad number (…) ta ta”, which I think he could be forgiven for. All things said, I would say that on the basis of this exercise, if I had to pick one ‘ITK’ to listen to in future… it would be Archibald. Why? No cryptic, no ‘done deals’ which aren’t actually done and a pretty spotless record over the course of the window.
Ben joins the long list of 'ITKs' who remained adamant that Modric wouldn't be sold. Unfortunately, he said that a deal for Rio Ferdinand was “def on” and said: “[it] will happen it seems”. Well, it didn't and it was never going to really was it? He said something similar about Llorente too. On a positive note, he mentioned that Keane, Hutton and Palacios could be moving, and he was the only person to call the Coulibaly signing (although someone else mentioned that we were looking at him). Apparently, Ben called the Edgar Davids signing back in the summer of 2005... but then again, I also heard that he gets his info by sitting up a tree next to the Lodge with a pair of binoculars so... This guy posted more times than anyone other than Akqayid during the transfer window. Most of it was speculation, much of which could've been guesswork. But he was the first to mention Adebayor. He also said very early on that we would probably sign Scott Parker and that Palacios would be the one to make way. However, he did at one point say - and I quote - "Modric is off”. Didn't get involved until July this time around. Talked a lot about how Ancelotti is seen as the ideal replacement for Redknapp, and repeatedly said that a deal for Adebayor was unlikely, going as far as calling it “hugely unlikely” and “impossible”. He also intimated that we would sign Diarra. However, he was one of the ones who said Modric would stay. The Goat is supposedly a collective, not a single person. Whoever is in charge of The Goat's keyboard however, comes across as an insufferable bore. If they aren't taking stories from the press and posting it as 'ITK', they are busy making up convoluted cryptic clues. Keane and Jenas to QPR, a pair of Spurs players to Sunderland, Lennon out, Downing in, Beckham in, Kevin Doyle to Arsenal, Vucinic more likely than Adebayor... I kid you not. I'd ignore their bleating if I were you. Absolutely full of shit. I very much doubt he's a journalist either... although he's very good at making up utter bullshit so he certainly has all the necessary credentials. Said that Kranjcar, Giovani, O'Hara, Bostock, Keane, Defoe, Palacios and Jenas were going... four out of eight right then. Rubbished the Redknapp to Chelsea rumours. Has a nasty habit of ending his posts with “Peace”, which always conjures up an image in my mind of Paul McCartney doing a creepy peace sign with his fingers in a middle-aged attempt to look 'hip'. Was made to look a tit when he wrote of Souleymane Coulibaly signing: “We are not as close as the media and other people are saying”... at roughly the same time as we actually signed him. Said that Diarra would be announced along with Adebayor. Went through a spell of intimating that we could be signing Hulk/Falcao from Porto. Nothing groundbreaking here. This character was pretty prolific this summer, starting early in May with some nondescript posts. His first interesting post came in early June, when he said: “I can confirm it Gervinho is signing for us”, which was of course right... oh no, wait... no it wasn't, because he signed for fucking Arsenal. Not only did he get that wrong, but in the very same post he wrote: “Friedel is a non-story as far as I'm concerned. Never any real interest”. Stunning. Next up was another classic: “Looking at a player Christian Eriksen. Don't know much about him. Think he's Estonian”. To be fair, he said at the end of June of Adebayor: “We've spoken to his people”, which was earlier than most of the others mentioned Adebayor. But any credit he got for that was removed when he chipped in with his own cryptic clue: “Bacon. Only the good stuff”... fuck off mate. Spent most of the time saying that Modric was staying and that we were in for Leandro, but that it probably wouldn't happen this summer, all of which turned out to be true. Also had a bit of a tiff with POTL, which made me warm to him. May have called the O'Hara to Wolves signing, but I think we all knew that one would go through. Same goes for Keane. But overall, no blemishes on his record this summer. Ah, POTL. What can I say about this character that hasn't already been said? I often think of the 'ITK' phenomenon as a kind of pseudo-religion. If it were, POTL would be the L. Ron Hubbard of the piece. The 'ITK' acolytes worship POTL, the moderators protect him... I'm not too keen. In fairness, I've been told by two separate people - who would probably know - that POTL is an employee of THFC, possibly even quite high up in the pyramid. And having read through all of his posts several times, I must admit that more of it is in line with what eventually unfolded than not. Even so, there’s no need to be so smarmy about things is there. All of that stuff is there if you want to read it, but let's take this opportunity to dispel the myth that POTL gets everything right... “Taxi For: Keane, Hutton, Gio, Bentley, Alnwick, Livermore, O'Hara.None of the above will be at WHL next season.” I would just like to take this opportunity to wish Giovani dos Santos and Jake Livermore all the best at their new clubs. Oh... “Loans again for: Bostock, Naughton,Parrett” (Page 2) Well, one out of three isn't bad... actually, yes it is. “Some of this ‘info’ is absolutely ridiculous. You can’t make stuff up and then post it. That is not right.” (Page 7) Just bear this in mind as you read through the rest of his stuff. “Get ready for it to kick off from Monday next week when the squad return from SA.”(Page 9) Well, we did wait… but not until that Monday… until the end of August. “Hold on tight, here we goooo” (Page 11) He wrote that in July. Nothing happened for weeks. Obviously. In a tête-à-tête with Peanut, he wrote: “Well lad, you will know exactly who Blue & Yellow are; because they are the same two we have been after since January. But you will already know that...” (Page 12) Oooooo, sarcy. “Deal” (Diarra, page 13) I think we’ve covered this. Oh wait, there’s more... “ByeBye Sgt. W.Hello Pocket Dynamo.” (Page 13) Hello who? “Ade and Lass. X” (Page 15) What about them? “Ade and Lass.” (Page 15) Yes? “Ade and Lass” (Page 16) Go on? But wait, what’s this?!... “Diarra talks ongoing" (Page 17) Hang on just one cotton pickin’ minute! Why would talks be ongoing if – as you said five times – it’s done? Oh that’s right... because you were talking shit. And now for the biggest load of shit that any of them posted during the summer window... Blue & Yellow: “Blue and Yellow” (Page 4) “Past wrongs recovered in songs alas it’s blue and yellow” (Page 5) “The long and winding blue and yellow road.” (Page 6) “Bap Bap Americano + Blue and Yellow = 9...” (Page 8) “B&Y” (Page 8) “B&Y” (Page 9) “Major work going on to secure the blue part of B&Y this week.” (Page 12) “Blue. Getting closer.” (Page 14) “Yellow is Leandro Damiao.” (Page 16) ... So it was in fact just ‘Blue’... if that. There was more cryptic nonsense in there, but I’m as bored of this shit now as I expect you are, so we’ll leave it there. The point is this guy obviously does this to massage his own ego. He probably types it in and then clicks ‘post’ with the most despicable, self-satisfied smirk on his face. He is also very highhanded in the way he addresses other posters. The fact that he got the Diarra and Leandro deals wrong would suggest to me that he doesn’t know as much as people seem to think, and if he does then he is guilty of what we discussed earlier about them jumping the gun in order to be the first one to break the news. Pretty sad really.
Predicted at the beginning of the summer that Modric would stay when he said: “I will stake a lot on us not selling Luka this summer”. Also said that it was “fairly certain” that we would sign Scott Parker. Nothing of any real significance other than that really.
For someone seemingly so highly regarded by the 'ITK' worshippers, the only highlight for Roger Morgan this summer was being the first person to call the Friedel signing when he said: “2 year deal. Sounds like it's happening”. Unfortunately, any kudos gained by that was wiped out by other things he said including: “Cole deal for £3m. Liverpool desperate to get him off wage bill. Medical next week.”, which was followed by some pathetic backtracking. He also joined the long list of people who said that the Diarra deal was “Done” and that “Gallas may be off to Turkey. Cahill progressing well but we have Samba in place if it doesn't go through”... oh that's lucky then. Hang on... did we sign Samba? Of course we didn't. What I like about 'Ryantegan' in comparison to the others, is that he is very open about how he gets his info. His boss is Redknapp's mate and therefore his info comes - albeit indirectly - from Redknapp. We all know how loquacious Redknapp can be in public, so imagine how much he talks in private. That is what gets passed on. Whilst this doesn't really enlighten us as to what's going on on Levy's side of the table, it is interesting to hear what Redknapp thinks. Probably the best person to listen to if you want to know where Redknapp is coming from. There is absolutely nothing in any of Skyderen's posts which indicates any inside knowledge whatsoever. Read them for yourself and see if you disagree.
Get ready for something BIG!!! I can't remember a transfer window during the age of 'ITK' that didn't involve some berk claiming that we were about to make some kind of huge marquee signing. Ironically, the only time we have made that kind of signing was last summer when we signed van der Vaart, and lo and behold not a single one of them predicted that one. Here is a list of 'ITKs' who posted about a super-duper, fantastic, bodacious, radical, mega signing that was supposedly on the way throughout the whole window but never actually happened: Akqayid: “There is something FUCKING massive happening” (page 11) Grey Fox: “I don't want to stoke the fires of insanity any more , but just spoken to my source and he said "Everyone at the club staying stumm, last time it was this quiet was Klinsmann deal (…) IMO this could be mega or something from left field and has gone under the radar” (page 12) Grey Fox: “One present unwrapped tonight, but the big one is still under the tree (…) I have tried to call him for more info, but not getting through, ,but he has said before that it looked like we were trying for someone special” (page 15) Jermaine_defoe: “Something big is coming fella's... and boy do i mean BIG. 31st August will be like Christmas. COYS” (page 16)
Notable Mentions "Romelu Lukaku... cue abuse... been told he has signed a pre-contract with the club euro 23m” - Adiepf (page 1) "Beckham coming home” - Noodles (page 1) “According to a top football agent my father knows... Sulley Muntari on way to Spurs... Diego Milito on way to Spurs... vdv on way to Inter Milan” - Ash123 (page 1) “I live in Barcelona and one of my mates was having a drink in a bar with Osvaldo's agent. Apparently the deal's been done and he'll be heading to White Hart Lane for the new season” - Philbcn (page 2) “My next door neighbour has a contact inside Sunderland and he has said that Defoe has signed on the dotted line for Sunderland. He says it is certain...” - Sunderland Spur (page 3) “Step up Joe Cole. 100% ITK” - Eurocoy (page 4) “Diego Forlan is at the lodge having a medical at the moment” - Shanks (page 6) “Adebayor is almost entirely out of the question” - ez14ginola (page 8) “Modric's gone let's get over it OUT "BUT Levy to sanction 3 x 30mill pound players IN" - Scout (page 8) “Diarra 100%, Adebayor 50-50” - Ghostfarmo (page 14) Credit where credit's due... “Sherwood is watching an Ivory Coast striker from Siena name Souleyman Coulibaly” - ROBinBKK (page 7) “Heard the Roma chap doesn't fancy us. Holding out for a deal to be struck with Juve instead.” - Dazherring (page 11) Waddlesgod (his whole post on page 14 would suggest that he was well informed) Dick of the Window Award There were a fair few candidates for the inaugural 'Dick of the Window Award', including POTL for all that Blue & Yellow shit, anyone who said that Diarra was 'done', anyone who said that we were going to sign Kaka, and anyone who posted 'get ready for something big' or such like. But the stand out winner has to be Ben for this little beauty: 'Luka felt humbled after his reception today...Niko apparently said to Modric how could he leave Spurs after that...Modric replied 'I can't'' If he had a straight face when he wrote that then I don't know what to say. I'm embarrassed for him. Dick of the Window. Conclusions Well, first of all I'd just like to say that going back and reading through all the 'ITK' has been a bit of an eye-opener. There were some names which I had previously associated heavily with the 'ITK' phenomenon, namely people like Noodles, Storts, Jurgenthegerman, Pablo, Jasper and Scout, who in actual fact didn't post that much this summer. Conversely, there are posters such as CorlukaModric, Akqayid and Mystery, who cropped up a lot more than I had expected. One overall conclusion that I have drawn from this exercise is that not many of these people are doing this out of the goodness of their hearts. A few of them seem to have jumped the gun on announcing deals as being 'done' as in the case of Lassana Diarra, which suggests to me that they are so desperate to be able to say in retrospect that they 'called' it first, that they are prepared to take a punt on it even though they cannot be sure that they won't end up with egg on their face. Perhaps this is because they know that no one will hold it against them... because no one ever does. If we could go back over all the 'ITK' that has been posted over the years and do what we've done in this article, I'm sure there would be loads of evidence to suggest that we shouldn't believe 99.99% of the things they say. But until now, none of them have been held to account over what they've said. Hopefully that will change. Another sign that some of them only post this stuff to make themselves look good is the cryptic clues, the most obvious example of this being POTL's 'Blue & Yellow' clue. The Goat is (are) also a serial offender (serial offenders), and Jacob chipped in with his 'Storm' clue as well. If you think about it, why would they post these cryptic clues? Very rarely are these clues obvious enough for people to work them out, so their only function (other than annoying people) can be to enable the 'ITK' in question to come back after the event and say 'I told you so', thereby inflating their ego and – in their eyes at least – enhance their reputation. It also allows them to be ambiguous. For example, 'Yellow' could easily refer to Adebayor (Togo), Rossi (Villarreal), Leandro, Hulk, Kaka (Brazil), and 'Blue' could refer to Adebayor (Man City), Diarra, Benzema (France). As many people also pointed out, 'Blue & Yellow' could be put together to make green! Personally, I reckon 'Yellow' was Rossi, but POTL claims it was Leandro... and that's the point, it gives them more latitude when it comes to claiming credit after the event. If you ask me, any 'ITK' who posts cryptic clues is a selfish attention-seeker and deserves to be derided for doing so. One of the key rumours to surface this summer was that of a rift between Redknapp and Levy. I probably don't need to remind you of how the different sides of the story went... Levy won't spend until the deadwood is shifted, Redknapp wants Modric sold so he can spend the money, Levy is holding back on transfer spending until Redknapp's replacement takes over, Redknapp played Kranjcar in central midfield against City so that we would lose and Levy would have to shell out for Scott Parker, blah-de-blah-de-blah. What seemed to happen in each case, was that the 'ITK' always fell on one side or the other, with Redknapp or Levy taking it in turns to be the baddie or the goodie. In terms of who seems to side with whom, POTL, Archibald, Dragon1, Peanut etc tended to suggest that Harry was being a pain in the arse and Levy was getting frustrated, whereas Ryantegan would possibly side with a frustrated Harry who has to put up with a stingey Levy. Now, for argument's sake, let's assume that these stories come from a viable source. If so, they can't both be right, and therefore the 'ITK' is being briefed or drip-fed information which makes one party look good and one party look bad. Leaving aside the fact that this kind of behaviour is by its very nature misleading to the people receiving it (us), it would suggest that at least one side of this could very well be coming from someone at the club. It is no secret that the club monitors the Spurs forums, and so they should. It would be quite surprising, not to mention a missed opportunity on the club's part, for them not to have one of their own posting 'ITK'. As I said earlier, I have heard from pretty reliable sources that Archibald and POTL are employees (in some capacity) of THFC, and if you read through their posts, you could see how that would fit. In Archibald's case, he tends to call things right most of the time and is also quick to douse the flames of rumours which are getting out of hand (as he did uniquely with the Diarra rumour). In POTL's case, he seemed to get angry with people saying that Modric was going to be sold, complained at how some of the rumours were damaging to the club, and regularly reassured everyone that our transfer strategy was on the right track. In other words, always remember that the things you're reading may have been put out with the intention of manipulating you in one way or another. To finish off, I will give you my overall opinion on the 'ITKs' for what it's worth. I will admit that I thought for most of the summer that Modric would be sold, so the fact that several of the 'ITKs' were so adamant that he wouldn't be, suggests to me that they must have some kind of source at the club. So anyone who likes to say that they are all full of shit... as much as I'd like to agree with you, I can't. However, if 'The Goat' disappeared off the face of the Earth it would be no great loss. 'The Journalist' is probably just a wind-up merchant. 'Peanut' came out of it pretty clean, but didn't do much to conclusively prove any inside knowledge, same for 'Rebrab' I suppose. 'Roger Morgan' is overrated. But if you want my honest opinion, 'POTL' is worth listening to cautiously, 'Ryantegan' is the best person to listen to if you want Redknapp's side of things, and overall... 'Archibald' is the man.
